The Grant Writer runs Afrikea’s grant pipeline, tracking relevant local, regional, and
international funding opportunities and turning them into submitted, funded applications.
You’ll research and qualify new opportunities, draft and manage submissions, and keep the
pipeline connected to what the wider Fundraising team needs to support Afrikea’s programmes
and targets.
You might be a good fit if you have:
Experience writing successful grant proposals
A handle on project management and deadline tracking
Strong research and analytical instincts
Clear, persuasive writing
Experience with Kenyan and/or international nonprofit funding structures (preferred)
Some grounding in NGO, foundation, or development-sector funding (a bonus).
